This house is split level, and there are therefore entrances on each level.

Lower level

A door from the garden opens into the fitted kitchen which is at one end of a large open plan living area (51 sq m). The kitchen has a large picture window looking out over the garden. Next to the kitchen area is a dining area and beyond this, a sitting area with large fireplace. This room is double height with numerous windows ensuring that the room is well lit. Beyond this, a door leads to a corridor off which are two bedrooms (15 sq m and 13 sq m) and a bathroom.

Upper level

Approached from the exterior by a door from the front garden, or from the interior via a staircase from the living area, there is a further living area (52 sq m) with fireplace. To one side, off a corridor, are three further bedrooms (12 sq m, 9 sq m and 9 sq m) - one of which has an ensuite shower room - a bathroom and a WC.

Beneath this section of the house is a large garage (31 sq m), a workshop (20 sq m) and a storage area (20 sq m) - the latter also houses the pump equipment for the pool.

Garden

The plot covers about 2000 sq m - to the front of the house are a terrace and the swimming pool (11m x 6m). The garden to the rear of the house is mainly laid to lawn with some large trees. To the side, by the kitchen, a covered terrace houses a built-in barbeque. The garden gently slopes away from the house, allowing some fantastic views across the Charente valley.

This house is quite deceptive on arrival - it appears to be a small bungalow. But as you continue down the drive, the extent of the house becomes apparent. With some striking features such as the two huge living areas that open in to each other, this house offers excellent living accommodation in a rural setting, yet just a short car journey from Angoulême and Jarnac.
