The second edition of the aeronautical event Salon Aérotop will take place over the weekend 23 to 26 September at Poitiers-Biard airport, with thousands of school children, industry professionals and the general public set to enjoy exhibitions, conferences, debates and a large air show.

 

Biard airport, which offers budget flights to the UK with Ryanair, will open its doors to school children on 23 Sept and industry professionals on 24 Sept, whilst the general public will be invited along for the final two days.

 

The big event will be the free air show scheduled for Sunday 26 Sept, where over 15,000 people will gather to see unusual aircraft in flight, parachutists, and a number of acrobatic displays.  The Gendarmerie Nationale will simulate a rescue, and planes such as the Skyraider, Sea Fury and an Alpha Jet from nearby Tours Air Base will be seen in flight and on the ground.

 

The show will get underway from 13h30 and will go on until 18h00, and admission is free.
