Futuroscope continues to be one of the most popular visitor attractions in France, with visitor numbers close to 880,000 at the end of June, some 16% up on the same period in 2009.

The continuing success is down in part to the new ‘Arthur the 4D adventure’ attraction, which was introduced at the turn of the year.  Interest from international visitors continues to be strong, with some 10% of the total visitors coming from abroad.  Last week the park welcomed the 2 millionth British visitor since it opened in 1987.

9 year old Emma MacNaughton from Livingston, Scotland was the surprised landmark visitor, who received free entry to the park for her family as well as a basket of goodies.  The British are second-only to the Spanish in terms of number of visitors to Futuroscope, with some 30,000 passing through the turnstiles in 2009.
