Description:
From 30 June to 4 July Niort Souché aerodrome celebrates its centenary with a packed programme of events, exhibitions, fun flights and a show from the Patrouille de France (equivalent to the Red Arrows).
Visitors will be able to view the alphajets of the Patrouille de France, army helicopters as well as the largest single engine bi-plane in the world. The public will be able to climb into some of the aircraft, and talk to the pilots and mechanics of the Patrouille de France.
From 30 June (2pm), the aerodrome will be welcoming four days of «Top Fly’in Tour», where up to forty pilots with their light aircraft from all over France will be present to operate daily flights. The main event is Sunday 4 July, with an air-show between 10am and 6:30pm. On site will be a reconstructed American army camp from WWII, with vehicles from the period and 80 figures in authentic costume. Local associations will be on hand to offer information on learning to fly, and leisure flights.
Admission is free, with the exception of 4 July. An adult ticket will cost 10€, whilst a reduced tariff of 5€ is available for 12-16 year olds. Under 12s go free.
