The 2010 Tour du Poitou Charentes will get underway in Charente, with five punishing stages scheduled for the end of August.

This 24^th edition will start from Chalais in Charente on 24 August, with stage 1 taking riders on a 186km route to Royan in Charente Maritime.  Stage 2 on 25 August gets underway on 25 August from Saint Georges de Didonne, arriving 178.5km later in Niort, Deux Sevres.  On the 26 August, there is a 96km stage from Quincay (Vienne) to Vouille (Vienne), as well as a 22km sprint stage against the clock from Latille (Vienne) to Vouille (Vienne).  Stage 5 on 27 August is a mammoth 197.6km from Niort (Deux sevres) to Poitiers (Vienne).
