Vics Big Walk for Pancreatic Cancer UK update
Vic set off from Puivert in the Aude department on Saturday 15 May, with the goal of walking to his town of birth, Blackpool in aid of Pancreatic Cancer Research UK. The aim is to take seventy days to walk the 2000 miles and arrive on his 70th birthday at the house he was born in.
Now into his thirteenth day, Vic left Sarlat-le-Canada in the Dordogne department of the Aquitaine region this morning bound for St Leon sur Vezere.
To date he has covered 423 kms and in his words, climbed Ben Nevis on numerous occasions along the route.
On the charity front, his donations are steadily increasing and now stand at £4,306.72, against a target of £7000. If you can help, then please visit his Just Giving page.
Tomorrow, Vic is heading to Milhac d'Auberoche and for the next four days is walking across Aquitaine, before a single day in the Limousin followed by seven days in the Poitou-Charentes region.
