All other airports bar Orly, Roissy Charles de Gaulle and  Le Bourget (see below) closed until 8am tomorrow Saturday the 17th.

It is expected Orly, Roissy Charles de Gaulle and  Le Bourget will close at 6pm this evening.

*****Update 16th April 12 noon

Arrivals are authorised on the following airports Orly, Roissy Charles de Gaulle and  Le Bourget between 12:00 and 18:00.   However it appears not for departures.

****Update 16th April 11.30am

The following airports will remain closed until at least 2pm today:- Calais, Merville, le Touquet, Dieppe, Cherbourg, Amiens, Lille, Valenciennes de Brest, Lannion, Deauville, Morlaix, Quimper, Rennes, Caen, Strasbourg, Vatry, Reims, Metz, Beauvais, Pontoise, Toussus-le-Noble, Orly, Roissy Charles de Gaulle et le Bourget.

The French civil aviation authority has confirmed that the following airports will close at 5pm as the Volcanic ash cloud from Iceland arrives in Northern France:

le Touquet, Calais, Amiens, Cherbourg, Merville, Dieppe, Lille, Valenciennes.

Other airports are to close at 11pm this evening including the following: Toussus-le-Noble d’Orly, Brest, Vatry, Rennes, Reims, Metz, Morlaix, Charles de Gaulle, Quimper, Strasbourg, le Bourget, Caen, Lannion, Beauvais, Pontoise and Deauville.

All passengers are asked to check with the airline they are booked with for further information of flights. 

The French Meteo has confirmed the volcanic ash cloud should arrive in French airspace at roughly 8pm and could last for up to 48hrs.
