Description:
The fifteenth edition of Gastronomades kicks off on 27 November, with a three day programme of events in the centre of Angouleme, Charente.
Friday 27 November is dedicated to school children, with specifically designed workshops offering an insight into local produce and all things food. An impassioned bee-keeper will introduce the life of bees and their hives, whilst children will be able to try their hand at cooking a special recipe in the presence of a chef.
On Saturday 28 November at the Place des Halles, the focus switches to local talent, with chefs from around Poitou-Charentes taking part in cooking demonstrations and competitions, whilst chef Xavier Taffard will present one of his own creations, using the local drink Pineau des Charentes.
Sunday 29 November will focus on tastings, with chefs offering up a variety of dishes for children and adults alike. During the event there will be exhibitions, debates and markets in the centre of town.
