Green bonus for Poitou Charentes residents

15 September 2009

Description:

The Poitou-Charentes general council have once again put their money where their mouth is when it comes to saving the planet, and as a resident there's a chance you stand to benefit.

A new project called Bonus Vert seeks to help reduce greenhouse gases emitted by old appliances, such as fridges, freezers, washing machines and dishwashers, by offering the public money-off the purchase of new appliances carrying A, A+ and A++ energy ratings.

In short, the regional council will cough-up for between 40€ and 60€ of the cost of your new electrical appliance.

The only conditions seem to be that your principal home is in Poitou-Charentes, only one reduction is available per household, and that you have to buy your new appliance in the region.  The offer is open until 31 December 2009.

For full details of the offer, and how to take advantage, check out the website.
