Description:
LD Lines has announced that it is to scrap its Dover to Dieppe cross Channel ferry route, because there has been insufficient traffic to make it commercially viable, according to Kent Online.
The route was only introduced in February this year, using a traditional ferry Cote d'Albatre, which took up to four hours to make the crossing.
The company will continue to run services between Dover and Boulogne, a route that has recently been enhanced with the introduction of the Norman Arrow, a freight-carrying fast-ferry.
The Dover-Dieppe route will end on Monday.
