If you live in Poitou-Charentes and have a talent for writing, we want to hear from you!

We're looking for a number of feature writers who want to hone their writing skills, and get themselves noticed, by producing interesting articles for our News and Features section on the home-page.  If you are a budding writer looking for some exposure, or you just write as a hobby, you could be just what we're looking for. 

What's it worth?

Unfortunately we can't pay you for your work, but if you have a business or website that you would like to promote, this could be a great opportunity for you. 

If you turn out to be just what we're looking for, we'll give you:

• A FREE 12 month directory listing, worth 150€
• A URL link to your website at the bottom of each article you write
• A Guide2 Pen or T-shirt

What you would have to do

Write at least one short article per month of between 400 and 800 words, covering items that would interest residents, holidaymakers or property buyers in the Poitou-Charentes region.  Whilst you are free to write on a subject of your choice, topics could include:

• Tourist attractions
• Places
• Heritage
• Beaches
• Events, shows and festivals
• Local news

How to apply

Prepare a short article as a sample of what you can do, together with your name, address and telephone number and send it via email to editor@guide2poitoucharentes.com, by 31 July 2009.  After reviewing all entries, we'll announce our new writers at the beginning of August.
