Description:
Already a popular space for joggers, the Parc de Blossac in Poitiers is to get a makeover that will re-invigorate the area.
Two new 'air-walker' cross-training machines have already been installed in the open air, overlooking the beautiful Clain valley. The machines, which cost the municipal council 2,000€, offer joggers an opportunity to vary their training, whilst appreciating the views free of charge.
Next up for the park will be the reopening of the nearby refreshment bar, which will be open between 12am and 2pm during the summer, offering sandwiches and drinks.
Later this year, the bandstand will be refurbished at a cost of 200,000€, re-creating the old bandstand that would have existed at the start of the twentieth century. Other investment has brought new picnic tables and well as essential repairs to the animal park. The Forum of the Environment will be held for the first time in the park this September.
