Euroferries set to launch new service from Ramsgate to Boulogne

Kent Online reports that the new high speed cross channel ferry service from Euroferries will commence later this month.  The vessel 'Bonanza Express' (previously operated in the Canary Islands) will make its first crossing on March 31, carrying cars, foot passengers, coaches and some freight traffic.

The new route will provide four crossings per day, taking just 75 minutes to complete the journey on the 96m fast catamaran.

Euroferries is being run in partnership with established cruise company Fred Olsen, and an experienced team has been assembled in the boardroom to help the new venture become a success.

The service will offer a first class area, restaurants and tax-paid shops as part of the package, and a new express coach service will link passengers with key destinations between Ramsgate and London, as well as with 2012 Olympic venues.
