Accessibly located between Charente and Haute Vienne, at this 54 ha farm you can ideally learn about the habits and daily life of the 250 deer at this site. Deer are friendly animals that prosper when bred in captivity where they roam in large areas. The Romans bred deer for company and meat and in the Middle Ages the animals were raised for their beauty and for hunting.Other animals bred by the Van Aubel Family also include : donkeys, horses, ponys, fowl. Simply a must for children. A museum dedicated to "the glory of draught horses". Accommodation: a comfortable gite or bed and breakfast. Tasting of farm produce, dog cart tour, and horse rides.
