Music was my first love, we all remember that song, but I always had a weakness for French music too. In the 70’s suddenly French music became very popular in The Netherlands (yes I’m Dutch) and was it ‘done’ to learn the language at school. A lot of popular singers in that era are still very well known in France and some of them even perform either on smaller or larger scale. Do you have a preferred French chansonnier/chansonnière/group? It doesn’t have to be from the early days. Maybe including a youtube video link, so we can all listen en enjoy it. I will give some more information about my preferences later.
