Films in English: Parthenay

Hi there Cinephiles...
After a long wait, we are pleased to be able to announce TWO films in English at the Cinema Le Foyer in Parthenay

The Lovely Bones AND
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

both with French subtitles.

The films will be shown simultaneously on Saturday 22nd May at 4 p.m.
and on Whit Monday, 24th May at 5.30 p.m.

For anyone who fancies a day out at the the Carnival and Cinema in Parthenay, the parade starts at around 2 p.m. and is usually excellent. Then you've time to get some refreshment and look at the stands before the film at 5.30.

For those travelling a distance and wanting to see both films, we have arranged for this to be possible on Friday 28th May.
The Lovely Bones will be screened at 10 a.m. then there will be a two hour break for you to get some lunch and some fresh air before The Imaginarium shows at 2 p.m.
Obviously it is also possible to see one of the films independently from the other on the Friday.

For those who don't know the Cinema, it is run by volunteers as an Association 1901, but we do have the most recent releases - including the Russel Crowe Robin Hood this week - before it was out in the UK. Unfortunately, we can't always get things like that in English, but we do try our best and hope to bring you Harry Potter and Shrek 4 this summer.
