Do not install this update for Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express (KB910721)
I follow a guy on twitter called Bob Toovey he has a website called Computing in France, he sent out a tweet a few days ago letting everyone know about a fake email he received from Mircosoft.
The email states it an Update for Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express (KB910721). The fake announcement said that "Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express. This update is critical and provides you with the latest version of the Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express and offers the highest levels of stability and security".
The so-called security update had an attached file officexp-KB910721-FullFile-ENU.exe.
Please do not install this update, whilst making my calls to my clients this week one of them told me she had received an email and after she installed the update her computer does not work anymore and she was told it would be cheaper to buy a new one than try and save the existing one. She also knows of 4 other people who did this update and have had serious problems with their computers.
