Hi Here in St Loup sur Thouet(79) there is a lovely 2 day Christmas market. Starts @ 5pm on the Saturday 6th Dec until late & again on the Sunday the 7th December from 10am until 7pm. I will be running "Paint a pot" sessions for children & adults on the Saturday from 6-8pm & on the Sunday 10.30-12.30 & 2.30-4.30. Basically you paint a ceramic item , I then glaze it & fire it in my kiln & it can be collected a few days later. Ideal way to make a Christmas gift. The market itself is well worth a visit, very busy & great atmosphere. Hi Exbluebell - Check out our events listings for the markets we have listed so far. There is one in Angouleme on 15/16 December, but we don't have a lot of info on it. The bigger towns such as Poitiers and Niort hold a Christmas Market throughout December, and I know the one in Poitiers has wooden chalets and outdoor skating. I'm sure somebody will be able to give you an opinion on the most atmospheric one...
