Les Glycines was originally a large working farm where people lived in one half of the house and animals in the other with hay and corn being stored in the loft above! Situated in an extremely peaceful and tranquil setting on the edge of a small hamlet, Les Glycines is surrounded by fields of corn, sunflowers and Parthenaise cattle being a breed of the region. Only 5 minutes walk away is the Château de Coudray-Salbart - a well preserved 13th Century fortress overlooking the meandering Sèvres-Niortaise river and traditional wash-house. Echiré village, famous worldwide for it's butter, is just 5 minutes drive (2km) and offers a large supermarket, bakery, fresh fish, delicatessen as well as pharmacy, riding school/pony club and petrol forecourt.
