Camping La Bonne Vie offers you a warm welcome...... Sue and Maurice welcome you to "Camping La Bonne Vie" - The Good Life. We left England in August 2006 to begin the good life in France. We retired from stressful jobs to make a life here in southern Vienne in the Poitou-Charentes region of France. Southern Vienne borders the Charente and Deux Sevres departments of Poitou-Charentes. This will be the second year of our new venture, and having spent many holidays in gites and campsites in France we wish to do our best to make our camping guests happy, relaxed and comfortable. Camping La Bonne Vie offers you a chance for a real change of pace - in one of the sunniest parts of France.

The Campsite

There is ample space for ten caravans, tents or motor homes. Camping pitches are not marked so you are free to pitch anywhere that takes your fancy on the 2 acre field which is surrounded by large mature trees. There are 8 electric points and 2 water taps on the campsite.

A brand new shower and toilet block consisting of two toilets with wash basins, one large family shower, baby bath/changing, washing up and laundry facilities. RV disposal in nearby Chaunay - 5km

Caravan Storage

We can also provide open air storage for your caravan over the winter months, at extremely good rates. Please contact us for further information.

About The Area

Our campsite is in Tassay on the southern tip of Vienne bordering the Charente and Deux Sevres in the Poitou Charentes region of France. The hamlet of Tassay has four houses and a farm and is about 5km from Chaunay, a small market town where you will find day to day provisions. Chaunay has a small supermarket, post office, patisseries, boulangerie, tabac and a doctor. Market day is Monday and other larger supermarkets can be found in neighbouring Civray and Sauze Vaussais. It is a beautiful part of rural France with its wonderful fields of golden sunflowers and wildlife. The area around our campsite is ideal for cycling and walking.

Prices per pitch per night for up to 4 persons.

With Electricity 15 Euros

Without Electricity 12 Euros

Additional People 2 Euros

Dogs are welcome, and stay free of charge, provided they keep owners under control!

Book before 1st July and get a special rate of 8 euros per night and just 2 euro per night for electric

Finding Us

Map/ Directions

Tassay is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the RN10, 40 minutes south of Poitiers.  

Leave the RN10 signposted Chaunay

Take the D35 to Lezay

After 3km turn left signposted Massay and Tassay

Drive along the road for 1.5km - you will see a small black sign for Tassay

Turn right into the hamlet

Campsite entrance is the first driveway on the right.
