We are a family owned campsite open all year and set in the heart of the Charente Maritime

We are situated approx 45 mins north of Bordeaux, located between Jonzac, Montendre, and Mirembeau.
 
Twinlakes is set in 17 acres, where you will find an idyllic spot to relax either beside one of our lakes or the swimming pool, sit back relax and enjoy, for children a large side field is set aside for ball games, away from the main campsite, stroll around the lakes and picnic and watch the sunset.
 
Visits to our local Pineau, wine and cognac producer is arranged free of charge, each week on a Monday evening, Tuesday evenings during the months of July and August, wine dine and shop at the local night market in Montendre, each week is a theme of music and entertainment, mingle with the locals, and share the fine wines, foods hot and cold from the region.
 
We offer during the months of March, April, September and October, special fishing weeks, bed breakfast and evening meals included in the price, with fishing on both lakes.

We welcome families and quiet couples, we don't accept single-sex groups and unaccompanied teenagers, we don't have a club or disco and, as a condition, we ask that people make no noise near the mobile homes after 10:30pm - Sometimes, despite our best endeavours, people break the rules: if they do they will be asked to leave. 

Fishing

One of the main activities on site is of course fishing.

The caravan site has two fishing lakes. The top lake, which is set in, the wooded area is mainly for experienced fishermen, with Carp at 20lb plus. A small daily fee is charged for this and all catches must be released.   

The bottom lake is of mixed fish and is free of charge to all guests in our mobile homes. Again our policy is catch and release. The lake is an ideal spot for eating out at night on the island where picnic benches are set aside for such activities (how romantic).

We have both four and six berth mobile avaliable

All bedding is included in our mobiles, we also suppy high chair, cot with full bedding

Tourers,

The caravan pitches for tourers and touring caravans at Twin Lakes are mostly level, closely mown and very generous in size. Many have electrical hook-ups.

Camping

We also have a flat, well drained field set aside for camping.

We have emplacements available all year.
