A warm greeting

Out of the summer periods, when it is cold outside we make a jolly fire inside. This specially constructed fireplace, using an old mill wheel from one the local mills and the circular smoke hood, makes a special feature of the lounge area.

Bedrooms

We have four bedrooms in total and each is decorated in a attractive manner. Each bed is provided with a fly screen just in case a fly should gain entry into the house. You should therefore sleep in peace undisturbed by traffic or flies.

A feast for your stomach and eyes

Whether you are staying overnight or just stopping by for a meal we serve the meals in our sun lounge, with its spectacular views.

The kitchen is well equipped and as Teresa and Bob have an alcohol licence they can serve dringks as well, so you do not have forget that France produces good wines. Though you must remember to keep within the drink driving limits as Gendarmes are just as vigilant here.

The meals are available for all who stay at Viewpoint House and cater a wide range of tastes including vegetarian dishes. Teresa is a vegetarian so when she talks of vegetarian meals she does not mean a limp salad!

And after your meals you can relax and chat or just look at the view from our comfortable settees.

Fishing

The river Vienne is well known for the quality of its fishing and this spot is one of the best. Not only is it calm and away from the hustle and bustle of life but it is also good fishing.

Should you wish to do some night fishing we have erected a small tent to allow the odd siesta. though of course if it is too hot then you might, just wish to use it during the day time.

Swimming and Canoeing

Now we understand that not all people who like the river are fishermen, just imagine, it is 35 degrees centigrade and it is you out there canoeing on our own expanse of the lovely River Vienne
